How do I get to Kalymnos?

It has its own airport with domestic flights and direct flights from Athens.

Kalymnos is also served by Kos Airport, and from Mastichari on Kos you can reach Kalymnos in 30 minutes by ferry.

If you are coming from Kos, there are daily and very frequent connections, as well as a ferry connection from Piraeus.

What is the best seaon for climbing?

The best seasons are autumn and spring, because of the cool weather and the perfect climbing conditions. But thanks to the island’s microclimate and shaded sectors, you can also climb all year round.

Do I need experience to join?

Not necessarily! The festival offers climbing routes for all levels, from beginners to pros.

Is there a rescue team?

Yes. Since 2013, Kalymnos has had a specially trained Volunteer Rescue Team active on the island.

Where can I stay

Kalymnos offers a wide variety of accommodation options: rental rooms, apartments, hotels, and houses. Book early, as demand is high during the festival period.
